About
Sarah Chiu (she/her) is a New York based actress, singer, dancer. She has been a part of the National Asian Artists Project since she was 10, working with Baayork Lee, Nina Zoie Lam, and Steven Eng. She has performed in their productions of Oliver! and Hello Dolly.
Sarah enjoys songwriting, embroidery, drawing, video editing, and journaling. She is a recent graduate of The Institute for American Musical Theatre.
She supports representation of People of Color and would ultimately hope to create new projects in the future involving or supporting POC artists and under-represented communities.
She is passionate about mental health and encourages others to prioritize their mental health as well. Supporting others to find their truest and most authentic self not only inspires her, but makes her want to strive for exactly that!
She was on the National Tour of A Charlie Brown Christmas Live on Stage in 2021 playing Frieda u/s Sally Brown.
Sarah performed at the MacHadyn Theatre in their productions of A Chorus Line (Connie Wong), Urinetown (Little Sally), and Kiss Me, Kate (Ensemble)!

Sarah performed in Stages St Louis production of A Chorus Line playing the role of Connie Wong U/S Bebe!

Sarah performed in NAAP's Discover Series Concert as a Soloist and Golden Hour Pod's Golden Hour Fest as a Featured Dancer!
Both events celebrated Asian Joy, Excellence, and Artistry and highlight the importance of community and embracing who you are!

Sarah previously performed in Queens Theatres production of Monkey King the Musical (Guan Yin/Others) written by Kimbirdlee and Jonathan Fadner!
Recently
Sarah recently finished her 8 month contract on the Disney Wish as a Mainstage Performer including Flounder in the Little Mermaid!
